What Is The Significance Of Shabbat?

The Shabbat…ever heard of it? It is not solely a “Jewish thing”…it’s a believer thing, from Adam and Eve forward, the Hebrew people kept their covenant with God through Shabbat, and it was never Sundays, then or now. Sacred day of rest, reflection of the Israelite followers faith, part of your 2 way street covenant with God of Abraham. The 4th commandment, Friday into Saturday as always, absolutely never Sundays. _{What Should I Pray Or Say On Shabbat In My Own Home “Synagogue”?}

Think of it as connecting to the creator and finding peace. Even the disciples had to ask Jewish Rabbi Yashua how and what to pray. It is called “The Disciples Prayer” (AKA “Lords” Prayer, but “Lord” is a paganistic phrase of ignorance and insult to Yahweh, that is YHVH) It is embarassing, but many Christians still use “Lord” in flaunt of the shallowness of their faith, while claiming to have “personal” faith and “connections”. We have all been there, using wrong names, wrong words and making ourselves look like “fakes”, it is just part of the learning journey back to pure teachings and pure knowledge we are all on, yet, it’s like an old friend, and you actually remember their name. G-d has a name, use it with self, family, friends and Synagogue. Yashua didn’t need to know how to pray, it is us all as disciples who need to know how to pray.

Since the falling of the first and second temple, the essence of worship and reverence has come to peoples homes. And will continue that way until true messiah role and promises are fulfilled following Elijah’s return. Do not be deceived, Elijah has not yet returned. Then true messiah comes to the “Third Temple” …until then, it’s in your home. More on home “synagogue security”, later in other pages and articles. Many plot hatreds and evils and even discriminations against your faith, you & your home for your Jewish faith.

To this day, the major prayer to pray every day is called The Shemah. Rabbi Yashua did so, and taught that to even children. It is your duty as male head of household to say the Shemah 3 times per day. Jews/Christians alike. Most people don’t & get busy working, forget or believe the God of Israel dismissed it. He created it and it remains the prayer.

Our favorite shabbat prayer for Friday evenings, is Psalm 92 listed below. You create a safe space alone with God inside your home Friday evenings. De-stress, let your blood pressure lower, forget about obsessing with your smart phones & messages a bit beyond seeing what prayers and portions are needed, forget the troubles of the world to focus to Yahweh’s love for you in grattitude.

Below please find 1.-Psalm 92, a specific Shabbat Prayer. 2.-The Disciples Prayer. 3.-The Shemah. Inside your home it is okay to say and use the sacred and personal name of Yahweh (AKA-Adonai). As opposed to public cover name of “Hashem”. With yourself alone, family, friends, room-mates say G-d’s personalized name. It’s a personal thing to bond with creator on shabbat. We ourselves like “Yahweh” and “Yashua” for reasons of our own that we learned of from….the Tetragramatron (YHVH). Know, he has a name, and wants you to personally name him. We say “Hashem” in public, to shield his holy name until they find and know him.

We recommend, and is the custom and practice to light 2 shabbat candles during your prayers. We believe it is pleasing to God to distinguish your time and space to the creator “religously”. Finally, most of us have used, are therefore used to the KJV having been taught it is somehow “Infallible”. Well, if it’s not Dead Sea Scrolls and earlier, it is fallible. Simply be aware, KJV has many mistranslations. Even the order of the Old Testament text was re-arranged from how Yashua had it memorized and taught. And some things are found in KJV, that do not appear in the older text in original Hebrew…the falling away, lawlessness, major doctrines & theologies found in the USA, come from mistranslations. Trust, but verify. Much was simply an attempt to discredit the Jews, with text simply not existing in the original Hebrew. Much was not what Rabbi Yashua said or taught. Below, the latter half of verse 13 does not appear in Hebrew or Greek, as one example. Remember, Yashua was/Is Jewish, and his religion was and is, and will continue to be….Judaism. And he is intending to keep kosher/shabbat when he comes. Avoid all the religions that arose since him like “The Plague”. Socialize in “Churches” and “Synagogues”, yet we feel your deepest truth is preserved in your own homes shabbat. Be your own synagogue in your own home.

Psalm 92 Shabbat Prayer

92 ⁽⁰⁾ A psalm. A song for Shabbat:

^2 (1) It is good to give thanks to Adonai
and sing praises to your name, ‘Elyon,
^3 (2) to tell in the morning about your grace
and at night about your faithfulness,
^4 (3) to the music of a ten-stringed [harp] and a lute,
with the melody sounding on a lyre.

^5 (4) For, Adonai, what you do makes me happy;
I take joy in what your hands have made.
^6 (5) How great are your deeds, Adonai!
How very deep your thoughts!

^7 (6) Stupid people can’t know,
fools don’t understand,
^8 (7) that when the wicked sprout like grass,
and all who do evil prosper,
it is so that they can be eternally destroyed,

Matthew 6:9-13 Disciples Prayer

⁹ You, therefore, pray like this:

    May your Name be kept holy.

    your will be done on earth as in heaven.

¹² Forgive us what we have done wrong,

Is the Shemah for “Christians”? Yes. YASHUA speaks to their folds that dispersed north who was and is the dispersed House of Israel who know YVHW’s voice yet so few north dispersed tribes follow their own God?

Deuteronomy 6: 4-9 Shemah

To the so-called “Christians”, know that Yashua prayed the Shemah as a child no less than I-2 times a day as required of the children, and 3 times a day by the male head of the household. It is prayed facing Jerusalem. Prayed by Jews and Christians alike and Yashua quoted it in Mark 12:29. If you love Yashua and his religion as your religion, you will pray the Shemah. The Shemah is talking about your “home Synagogue” not some fancy building some give money to. It speaks to your own home, your private synagogue….your Israel right in front of you and your family in your kitchen coffee shop this side of Jerusalem. Sh’mah!

(A:vi, S: v) ⁴ “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Isra’el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; ⁵ and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources. ⁶ These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; ⁷ and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. ⁸ Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead, ⁹ and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

It is no seceret, the bible is filled with latter-days descriptions of global nuclear warfare and Jewish Rabbi Yashua told you these things must and shall come to pass, and fear not. Messiah is the only one to intervene to save the human race from extinction after the age of warfare before millinieum can come. Pray, for the peace of Jerusalem that Messiah will come after Elijah and keep his promise as the G-d of Abraham, with peace for those who seek peace with Israel. And for those of you who keep the covenants to be part of that millinieum, the Old Testament is your nuclear war survival manual and how Yashua rebuilds thereatfer.
