Parasha Chukat 9 Tamuz 5785

Portions for July 05/2025

Shalom Aleichem,

We reach out to you the 4th of July here, with a simple message from the Torah. Yet, can you handle the truth and contemplate what it might mean? The Parasha, Chukat word means “Statute”, or law. It is a no brainer, that refers to Torah, the laws of then, and now. Yet, what does a Red Heifer have to do with it? The law spoken of here, found below in Torah portions, has to do with Red Heifers….

Yet, Red Heifer laws about handling of yourself and what to do after touching dead people. It is true, you do have to be careful with dead bodies, but to degree of “laws” about it and Red Heifer? If so, what does it portend to, in the future? We know there is Third Temple coming, and that Red Heifer has a lot to do with it.

Is there more to the Red Heifer than meets the eye? Many Christians in the US have a reflex reaction to hearing about Third Temple. Almost a mix or revulsion, fear and mockery. I routinely get all kinds of names, or mental health labels as “delusional” for having views that there will be a Third Temple as a literal thing. Many in the USA have come to see it as a sign of nuclear war even, or the end times destruction of the Jews in Israel. Yet, we venture its a sign of peace and the millinieum rule to come. Most people know Red Heifer and Third Temple are in the same conversation of the near future events. Yet, I cant deny the scriptures deal a great deal with nuclear wars coming, and there is a lot about war-fires, fallouts and a lot of dead bodies near that time period. If the Red Heifer brings us a code of law about dealing with dead bodies, and there will be lots of dead bodies near then, what we don’t hear much about is the “special burial” rules and procedures that get taught to the special burial teams that go out and locate the bodies and bury them. Does the Red Heifer also portend the burial “laws” and “codes” that comes then when dealing with the masses surrounding the Third Temple region? Which comes first, Red Heifer then burial of dead bodies from fallout, or the other way around, wars, then Red Heifers for burials? Is this a weird subject? Well, not if you read the bible.

In the past, Chukat takes us to the fact that Moses is taught the red heifer laws, of which ashes purify a person who has been contaminated by contact with a body that is dead. Israelites arrive in the wilderness of Zin. Miriam dies, and then the people get thirsty for water, and God tells Moses to speak to a rock and command it to give water. Moses gets angry at the rebellious Israelites, strikes his staff on the stone. Water then comes out, Moses is told by G‑d that neither he nor Aaron can enter into the promised land.

As you may recall, Aaron then dies, at Hor Hahar and is then succeeded in the high priesthood, by his son. Poisonous snakes attack the Israelite camp after yet another eruption of discontent in which the people “speak against Hashem and Moses”. Then, Hashem directs Moses to place the brass serpent is upon a high pole, and all who will gaze heavenward will be healed. They sing songs, in honor of the miraculous well that provided them water in the desert.

Moses leads the people in battles against the Emorite kings Sichon and one named Og, who tried to simply pass through and conquers their lands, which lie east of the Jordan.

The point is, that is the part of the world, that will have Third Temple, Red Heifer, and is where there will be “special burial teams” foretold. Of course David had a slingshot, and now they have nuclear warheads, and will have B-2 bombers soon of their own.

Torah Portion:

Numbers 19:1–22:1

We hope you are having a great 4th of July weekend, knowing now Israel in turn, has bought a little more time, and a lot more capability now that they will be getting B-2 bombers that pretty well makes the point of why a nation would “want” to be part of the Abraham Accords.

B’Shalom

Mark
