Shalom Aleichem,
Greetings from and for your weekly home synagogue readings. Parahsat Emor…what is Emor? Emor is Hebrew for (“Say”), it opens with laws regulating priestly behavior, working in the Mishkan (Tabernacle), and consuming sacrifices and priestly food. It further describes the biblical holidays of Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot, and ends with a story about a blasphemer and his punishment. As the art graphics above implies, the Torah opens to what it “says” about these things.
Local Synagogue in Colorado Springs, is filled tonight, Baruch Hashem. Yet, you know we are here and not all can make it to an external Synagogue for the Shabbat Services, and must rely on other means, as these post and emails giving highly condensed reads and shares. Of the laws on priestly behaviours, here you are, in your “Home Synagogue” keeping the intents on Shabbat as has been done from Adam and Eve forward. That’s a great start and good sign for you, as is your observance of those above cited laws. Priestly foods, is not something you are likely capable of from your home synagogue, beyond your best efforts at Kosher.
Is it worth it to study Mishkan and priestly behaviours? We recently saw an article where US Secretary of Defense admits Third Temple construction could certainly be soon. It is pretty commonly accepted that it is around the corner. Within our lifetimes, seems quite within reach, and the virtuous studies of the ancient laws, aths and regulations, where Torah is tommorrows headlines and prophecy. A great wedge of the holy text, is coming into fulfillment and coming alive. For all you know, you could well be, your tribes, next priesthood holder, making a progress, to the Temple. The old text, isn’t so old after all.
Torah Read: Leviticus 21: 1-14:23
No Hafatarah, no Besorah….the New Testament did not fully anticipate the Third Temple to comprehend the eternal nature of it and it’s impact to the next thousand years. One of the founders of this ministry, a USMC officer, understood that, the operator of this ministry, is a Synagogue Security Specialist and Israeli Behavioural Detection Officer., aside from priesthoods, Rabbi, etc.. It makes complete sense, the ordinances, laws and regulations of the Tabernacle, to comport to the practices even in so far as you, and your home Synagogue. You are very safe on your own device, and inside your own home, that we hope you rely on Gods spirit to dwell with you and provide your safety, as you re-learn, the ordinances, and “say” your prayers, and say your Torah reads yourself, and don’t forget to reduce the concept of Mishkan to you and your home, to lighting your Shabbat candles before dark sets in.
Third Temple is around the corner…
B’Shalom
