Shalom Aleichem,
Aleichem generally means house of peace, or from the house of peace. The radical and violent left extremist in America have made us all pay a price for our sins of silence, and murdered one of our spokesmen. Charlie Kirk, was murdered, taken up as offering. Loved and admired by millions, he didn’t just share opinions, he went out to meet them and debate them and practiced first amendment speech. How much longer can America and Israel afford to stand by silently, and tolerate these violent, hateful people while they kill us? We do know this, Charlie Kirk left us a legacy of improving US and Irsael relations, and he left us a wake up call, even about Shabbat. He wrote a book about keeping Shabbat addressed to Americas millions of Jews, Christians and Catholics….reflecting that keeping Shabbat will change your life. Today’s Torah portion is about Ki Tavo….which is Hebrew for “when you come”.
Torah Portion: Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8
What say you, when you read the above Torah Portion? It summarizes the Israelite covenant by detailing the firstfruits offering. Which recounts their history from slavery to the Promised Land as a confession of God’s faithfulness.
It outlines the blessings and curses that will result from obedience or disobedience to God’s commandments.
Emphasizing their status as a holy, chosen people and the importance of their committment to the covenant today.
I think some of its main points, are about first fruits in showing that putting God first attitude. God, family country….it’s about getting our priorities right of how we give to him, who gives us all as his people.
With that said, our ministry needs prayers and ask for help. With the murder of Charlie Kirk, we recognize needs to go from listeners, to doers and speakers of the words. We have many digital projects, including music and podcast shows, waiting on our equipment funding and means to launch some great podcast. Charlie Kirks murder was a great wake up call to us all, and we want to accept that calling if God willing, to get the rest of the ministry launched and going, and with a special outreach to the younger half of America we are losing due to not reaching them.
