Parashat Tetzvah for March 08 2025

8 March 2025 – Parashat Tetzaveh (you shall command)
Shalom Alecheim,
The basic portion reads is that Yahweh appoints Aaron and his sons as his priests. Perfectly describes the priestly garments and explains how to properly sanctify the priests. Aaron is commanded to make offerings of incense to Yahweh in the mornings on an altar. Yahweh commanded that once a year Aaron will do an offering on such altar to atone for all the Israelites’ sins.
Sounds simple you might think, or say, and feel like this doesn’t apply to you or anymore. When I was a much younger Aaronic priesthood type, I used to read all these commands and procedures. Never understood on the inside of the western Christianized version of things, why we even wasted our time to read such stuff. Yet…..it may help to know, there is a distinguishment from “sin”, and transgression of the Torah law. Long story short, don’t ask why, just know this once-a-year procedure is actually still required. Sin, and Transgression of Torah law are not the same, and Yashua did not end one, both, or either in a universal sized one sized fits all. Sin, and transgression of Torah law are different and you still have to keep law, despite confusions to some of which law. Nor do the abundance of religious experts people even agree. First, recall that Yashua didn’t terminate Judaism, with a later developed thing called Christianity. You may take it from me, do your best to keep the laws, but don’t sin either or they got you both ways on sin and transgression both, requiring you to learn Hebrew to make sense of it all. Yet this atonement was once a year done by the Aaronic priest. I’m Aaronic, but I’m not doing it for you, you might hate Israel, or not know you are part of, or not know you are House of Israel, and would not understand either way, like I used to not understand. For now, please read what the commands are, and imagine yourself doing such an altar once a year as you just want to remember the roots of your faith before ordering a pallet of “Kosher cement” from Home Depot, and building an altar in and then destroying your living room. For now, build in your heart and recall, from reading the Torah Portions.
Below is a new word, “Maftir”, Hebrew for “Concluder”…the one who concludes as the last person called up to read the Torah. Today, you are that Maftir as today, you are also Aaronically speaking, reading the commands.
Torah: Exodus 27:20–30:10
Maftir: Deuteronomy 25:17–19
Haftarah: Ezekiel 43:10–27/1 Samuel 15:2–34
Beshora: Hebrews 13:10–16
There is great dangers to the above Beshora readings of Hebrews 13:10-16, to assuming it says or means things that might not be expressly or actually be stated, much less who it actually speaks to. For these readings, we then redirect you to the Maftir in Deuteronomy and Exodous, and it speaks in metaphors and symbolic gestures. Yet, it can’t break the Torah laws as to mean the Torah laws are broken and that you are still under Torah law. With that in mind, how do you apply the meanings of the Hebrews 13:1-16, knowing also that sin and Torah transgression are not the same? It’s a long year ahead of you, to the next sin clean-up, regardless of how you interpret, it’s good to read this once a year to remind yourself to clear up the sins once a year on the altar….as your own concluder reader that you are….knowing next year, you will be reading it again. Keeping mind, you are reading it, until Third Temple comes and many of these sites and altars are likely to be rebuilt and laws and practices have an outlet again…besides just coffee in your living room, knowing full well Messiah is coming to….reign from there?
