Rosh Chodesh 1 Tamuz 5785

June 27, 2024

Shalom Aleichem,

Rosh Chodesh is Hebrew for the top of the month, or new month. Last week, we covered the Torah portions about sending out it’s spies and the “Rising Lion”, and this week we add some special selections. No one said our Star of David shaped Challah bread is perfect, it is hastily made and imperfect, representing the human endeavor as impefect, where only Hashem is perfect. What is perfect is the fact we do at least make Challah bread for our Shabbat and observe the Shabbat! Keeping Shabbat on Fridays is what is pleasing to God, your 4th commandment and kept by Adam forward….Friday nights always, never, ever Sundays and never was.

This weeks messege is good to read and know, for from the birth and passing of Joseph is directly tied to how we have Mannessa and Ephraim….the two chief tribes found in America and portions of Europe. Israel, being about the tribes, not a religion necessarily, is a pact of covenant we strongly urge the Christians and Catholics in America to learn if you care to know who you might be. In modern times, what is the significance of Mannesa? Mannessa forecasted to rule to waterways and water gates of world trade. Still, or did we lose it all to China who’s naval shipbuilding capacity is 250% more than the USA?

Joseph as you know, was the son of the patriarch Jacob, who was born in Charan or what you know as Mesopotamia. On the 1st of Tammuz of the year 2199 from creation the 1st child of Jacob’s most beloved wife you know as Rachel, was born after 7 childless years of their marriage. He did pass away on the same date 110 years later, in Egypt of all places.

Recall Joseph was six years old, Jacob and his family returned to the Holy Land, eventually settling in Hebron. Younger than 10 of his 11 brothers, he was his father’s favorite, and a great rivalry existed between him and his brothers…which I have that problem from my own family and brothers, and as Joseph brothers and even my own brother Tim has animosity toward him, and myself, increased when he related two of the dreams he had forecasting that he is destined to rule over them. I don’t wish to rule over my brother, but those are the fears my own family and brother too has even of me, as I was my fathers favorite child and do prophecy.

When Joseph was 17, he was as you know, sold into slavery by his brothers and taken to Egypt; when he refused the advances of his master’s wife, she had him placed in prison where he languished for 12 years. At age 30, he interpreted a pair of mysterious dreams dreamt by Pharoh, and was appointed viceroy of Egypt to oversee the gathering and storage of grain in preparation for the 7 years of famine that Pharaoh’s dreams had predicted. He married Asnat, and had two children…Manessah and Ephraim.

The great famine brought his brothers to Egypt to purchase grain; after subjecting them to a series of trials to test their loyalty to each other and their remorse over what they had done to him, Joseph revealed his identity to his brothers, was reconciled with them, and settled his dad, and entire family…being about 70, in all — in Egypt.

Joseph passed away in Egypt on his 110th birthday. The first of his brothers to die, he transmitted to them the divine promise to Jacob that his children will be taken out of Egypt and restored to their homeland, and made them promise to take his body/remains with them when they go. Jews and Christians are commanded to “Bury” their family members, never cremate. “To dust you shall return”….

The bread you see in the picture, is Challah bread from a bread flour reserve, ….Hashems advice to have 7 year’s supply of grains for bread is still true as it was then.

Torah Portion: Numbers 28: 1-3 and Numbers 28: 3-15

If you are a prepper, you might be an Israelite, for they use the 7 years example quite often. With the threat of Chinese agro terrorism against the USA, we do hope you can begin your planning now to keep your Challah bread reserves in stock 1-7 years at a time, especially while it is still “cheap” to do so.

Special readings this week is read Psalms 113-118.

The USA and Israel may have struck Iran and hopefully destroyed things on nuclear ability, or delayed as such, that follow-up strikes when needed, will ensure it, but, we still have many adversaries working against us here in the USA that warrant taking heed to the 7 years supply of grain flour.

May your Shabbat this week as head of the month find special meaning for you. As you plan you 4th of July BBQ meats, please remember, Hashem forbids pork….then, and now still….
